More Than 200 Scouts Use Camp at Newkirk

More than 200 scouts have participated in camping at the Newkirk Reservation near Dexter during the summer, O. E. Roszel, chairman of the camp committee, reports. Attendance at the 1941 camp is showing an increase over the 1940 camp.

The Newkirk Reservation is used throughout the year and is in constant demand during the fall, winter and spring months. Eleven cabins are available for troops on week-ends, and it is possible for as many as four to five troops to camp at the reservation on a week end.

While a reservation caretaker lives at the camp, each troop coming to camp is under its own leadership, which is completely responsible for the troop.
