The girl, who believed her mother alive, said she and Lindsay, who was using the name of Jack Grant, lived a week here after making the trip from Seattle in an automobile.
The authorities believed Lindsay is enroute to Mexico.
Pearl said she last saw her mother during the middle of February.
That night Lindsay told Pearl and her sister to stay out of her mother's bedroom.
The next day she said she saw Lindsay digging in the yard and he said he had buried garbage.
Pearl said Lindsay explained their flight telling her it was necessary to avoid trouble with the school authorities over Pearl's non-attendance at classes. Lindsay is charged with the murder of his wife.
