FOREIGN NEWS.

Paris, July 29.—The French Radical Republican press to-day made a general attack on the heads of the Jesuit College, alleging that they had fraudulently forewarned the students concerning the subjects of examination at Polytechnique; hence the libel suit which was the day before yesterday decided in favor of Dupac, Director of the College, and fifty-five students. The affair has caused great excitement and has been the subject of parliamentary inquiry.

The greater, great "unknowns" are now in the field. Also the well-known Panaca Saloon, Lacour Street, commences the second century with all the "heated term drinks and soothing cigars. One price! One Bit!!
