Five assemblies, assorted meetings, work periods, instruction and social events will bring 200 young people to Farmville this week.

They will be delegates to the annual Student Cooperative Association convention, Monday through Thursday this week at Longwood College.

The first delegates and SCA office staff members were scheduled to arrive Monday morning to prepare for registration from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. The student building, Farmville Elementary School, the gymnasium and Jarman Hall will be used for the group's activities.

Farmville High School SCA will sponsor a "Fun Frolic" at the gymnasium Monday evening, with Sally Ann Clark in charge. Tuesday's highlights will be an out-of-doors supper, followed by a talent show in the student building auditorium.

A general assembly will be held in Jarman Hall Thursday morning to end the formal sessions.

Fred O. Wygal, associate director of the State Department of Education, Division of Instruction, will open the fifth annual convention at a general assembly Monday evening.

Elizabeth V. Lloyd, of Richmond, state SCA executive secretary, will supervise the conference instruction leadership activities.

The 125 students and 75 advisors attending the conference will be housed in Longwood dormitories.

During this week's conference Virginia high school students and advisors, who lead SCA activities in their home schools, will plan and organize for more effective programs in the coming school year.
