DREAMING.

(By Winifred Wells.)

All day long the ships go by
And trail their spars across the sky;
I wonder, wonder where they go,
And maybe some day I shall know.

Oh, maybe some day I shall float
Beyond the reach of sailing boat,
To where the gray sky meets the sea,
And all I long for waits for me.

"So your husband refused to buy you an auto of your own?
"He didn't exactly refuse. He said he thought I ought to become familiar with machinery in general and so he bought me a washing machine to start on."
