Count de Penne, and gen. Morillo are in the environs of Fregenal. We all hope, that the enemy will soon be expelled from the capital of Andalusia, and these hopes are confirmed by the circumstance, that several vessels which have arrived here with provisions for the army, have not unloaded, because they are to proceed to the Guadalquivir whenever the state of affairs requires it. Misery and famine prevail in Seville to a shocking degree: the fanegue of corn sells for 3 hard dollars; carts have been placed in several streets to pick up those who every moment fall down in fainting fits! and a contagious disease has broken out, which, in four days, carries off the patients.
