On Sunday last, the warehouse of Mr. Albert Lantz, at the W. M. R R station, Lantz, four miles west of this place, was crushed by the weight of about 500 bushels of wheat, stored in garners in the second story. Fortunately, it was not above that part of the building occupied by Mr. Lantz, as a general store, else his loss would have been much greater. The wheat, not only broke through the second floor, but in its fall, crushed the first and stopped in the cellar not more than fifty bushels remaining on the upper floor. A large coal oil can and its contents accompanied the wheat, from the first floor to the cellar, also a barrel of coal oil, the latter however, remaining intact. Mr. Lantz was absent at the time of the catastrophe, as he resides at some distance from the warehouse. The loss will be considerable, as one end of the building is badly wrecked.
