A Well Earned Vacation At Augusta
Planned
According to plans, Georgia will be the Christmas host of President Eisenhower, at the end of the trail which took him across eleven countries in a goodwill gesture.
Through Italy, Turkey, Greece, Afghanistan, Pakistan, New Delhi, and Paris, France, the great peace crusader will pause at Augusta according to arrangements for a well earned rest.
There he will be near the golf center of our Southland and will enjoy the Georgia sunshine as he pursues his favorite sport.
This will mean a new type of history for Georgia. While the President has been here many times, having returned from an unprecedented trip around the world on the sacred mission of world peace, his sojourn will have added significance.
The nation and the world are proud of him and time will accord him that place-in the ages-which will always enlighter those who share in a world at rest pausing at Yuletide as it breathes around every humble fireside-'Peace on earth-good-will to men."
Welcome again, Mr. President, and may your stay do much toward your repair from such an exhaustive and promising journey.
