By MRS. ROSEBUD RENDLEMAN
Reporter
The local North Carolina Teachers Association and the local N.E.A. of Lincoln county had an interesting and very inspiring meeting on Feb. 16 at New Bethel school.
Mr. Wiggins, vice-president, called the house to order. Mr. Heath, the chaplain, conducted a short devotion, after which the minutes were read and received with the proper corrections.
There were several important matters to be discussed, and all the business was taken care of. Mrs. Biggers reminded and encouraged all of us to attend the Audio-Visual Aid Work Shop at North Carolina College in Durham. She also expressed the hope that someone would attend the Parent-Teacher conference at Johnson C. Smith University which was scheduled to convene February 19, 1956.
Mrs. S. E. Biggers thanked the New Bethel teachers for their wonderful entertainment. The menu, consisting of candied yams, salad, ham hot rolls, ice cream and cake, was enjoyed by all.
The meeting adjourned until March when the next meeting will be held at Rock Hill school.
