Cleveland Teachers Receive Pay Raise
Cleveland, O. (OLNS).—Decision of the Cleveland Board of Education not to interrupt a salary schedule including automatic pay increases has assured nearly 1,500 teachers and employees of Cleveland schools of pay raises this year and next.
Pay increases under the schedule amount to $150 a year for high school teachers; $135 per year for junior high teachers, and $120 for elementary teachers. Fight for the schedule was led by the Cleveland Federation of Teachers, affiliated with the AFL.
