Safe Blowers At North East

Some time during Thursday night, the rear door of the post-office at North East, located in the building adjoining C. W. Simpers' store, was forced by unknown parties who blew open the safe, one of the York Safe and Lock Company's make and about three feet square. The burglars got about $8 in small coin for their trouble. Postmaster West closed the office at 7:30 p. m., on Thursday, and knew nothing of the burglars' visit until yesterday morning.
