Full Text

It seems by the British account of their attack on Bergen-op-Zoom in Holland that the enemy generals fare worse in, "running their heads against Stone Walls," than even ours. The annals of the present war can hardly produce a similar disaster.

A letter from an officer, in the English papers, says—"out of four thousand five hundred men engaged in the assault, not one thousand five hundred escaped." The Major General commanding surrendered at the head of his column, and another Major General has died of his wounds.

Proud Patriot.
