The Powhatan Indians will play their last home game November 5 against Caroline. Kickoff time will be 1:30. The annual football dance will be after the game.
On October 16, after the Powhatan-Beaumont game, there was a victory dance in the high school cafeteria. The dance was a huge success and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, even the chaperones.
The P-TA of Powhatan High will sponsor the annual Halloween carnival in the War Memorial building on October 31 at 7 p. m.
Seniors
The senior class will present its play for the year on December 3 and 4. The play is a very cute mystery comedy, titled "Finders Creepers."
Juniors have selected their colors, motto, and flower. They are as follows: Color: Blue and White; Motto: "Duty is ours, results are God's." Flower: white rose. We also discussed the selection of our Class Mothers, but no definite ones have been chosen.
Sophomores
The sophomores wish to welcome Barbara Plews, formerly of Hopewell, to Powhatan High School and we sincerely hope that she finds our school very pleasant and friendly.
