SHE WANTED TO DIE.
Attempt of a Murderer's Wife to Commit Suicide Frustrated.

Glenwood, Minn., May 29. - Lars Berglund, who was struck by John Quist last Saturday night with a hatchet, died Monday morning from its effects. Quist was arrested and waived examination. He was taken to Stevens county jail by Constable C. F. Rotto to await the action of the grand jury. As the train pulled out from this station with the prisoner on board, Mrs. Berglund, the widow of the murdered man, discovered Mrs. Quist, the murderer's wife, sitting on the railroad track with her little girl in her arms waiting for the train to pass over her and thus take her out of misery. She was saved by Mrs. Berglund.
