The proposition for compromise with the Rail Road Company, has been rejected. Resolutions were submitted, proposing that the Rail Road Company stop their works at the Point of Rocks, and unite with the Canal Company in the prosecution of the Canal to the Ohio, with the reservation the right to the Rail Road Company to extend the Road, after the completion of the Canal to Cumberland, and subsequent to the year 1840.
These resolutions were referred to the committee on Rail Road Controversy.

Abert, William Price, Andrew Stewart, and Peter Lennox as Directors for the ensuing year. Resolutions were submitted proposing that the Rail Road Company stop works at the Point of Rocks and unite with the Canal Company in prosecuting the Canal to the Ohio, with reservation of the right to extend the Road after completion to Cumberland and subsequent to 1840.
