Two contracts were let for plumbing work, plans were made for the sale of the Allen Center School Building and equipment, and several other matters were disposed of by the Marysville Board of Education at its regular meeting Thursday.
Contract for the installation of wash stands, drinking fountains, and toilets in the East was awarded to McAuliffe Brothers for the work in the East Building on their low bid of $2910.
Similar work on the West Building will be done by Bill Limes of Plain City who bid $5078. The work is scheduled for completion during the summer, Supt. H. W. Carr said.
The Board also decided to advertise the sale of the building, site, and equipment of the Allen Center School. The Allen School become the property of the Marysville Board of Education when Allen School was disbanded and the building was placed in the Marysville section of the divided district.
Robert Wagner, speech instructor and track coach at Marysville High School, was reappointed to make the school census for 1950. Mr. Wagner will make an enumeration of all children of school age in the district.
The Board set 1 p. m. on May 10 as the date for their annual inspection of the school property.
Board members are Dr. John Dutro, D. Carl Spain, L. G. Brubaker, H. P. Martin, and Frank Rupprecht.
