Laurance Rockefeller of Caneel Bay Plantations is expected to make a grant to the government of the Virgin Islands for the purpose of equipping the Morris F. de Castro Clinic at Cruz Bay, St. John. The grant may be in the neighborhood of $4000.
The proposed donation and other matters of interest to St. John were discussed at Caneel Bay Thursday by Mr. Rockefeller and Gov. Gordon. Government Secretary Claunch also attended the luncheon conference, and renewed acquaintance with Nelson Rockefeller, whom he has known for many years. Robert Moses, chairman of the New York Planning Commission, was also in the party.
