Cleaning Out Station On the 2700-Level

The report of the United Comstock Pumping Association today shows that during the week, the water level at the old Con. Virginia winze has varied from 196 feet to 205 feet below the collar of the winze, the Starrett pumps holding the water at those points. Some repairs were necessary to the pumps during the week.

On the 2,500 level, the north drift from the Con. Virginia winze was cleaned out and repaired for a distance of fifteen feet; total distance in repair 575 feet.

On the 2,700 level, the winze station has been cleaned up and a new floor is being put in. The station timbers are in good condition.

All pumps on the various stations ran successfully throughout the week.--Virginia Chronicle.
