But Recent Rain Was Worth Immense Sum to Farmers.

St. Paul, May 18.—"This rain, coming at this time, under existing conditions, will be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars to Minnesota farmers," said Albert W. Woods, dean of the College of Agriculture at the University Experimental farm. "To the farmers of the Southern and Southwestern states it means the salvation of their crops. Minnesota is especially favored and our crops were not actually suffering from the drouth, but a few more days of it would have meant total loss to the crops of the South."
