CITY PAYING OUT
$23,000 TO-DAY
Today is pay day at the City Hall and over $23,000 is being distributed—no, not quite that much, for Harry Martin, Mayor Mollman's former secretary, will not get his voucher for the simple reason that while the mayor was attaching his name to the several hundred warrants yesterday M. Martin's check was wafted by the wind across the office and was not found till this morning when the janitor recovered it while sweeping. Mayor Mollman is out of the city and consequently Harry will be compelled to wait until tomorrow.
