On the proper application (and conformable to orders) made by Major Thomas James, who sustained a loss on the 1st of November 1765, in this city; his case has been considered by the Honorable House of Representatives, now sitting, and they have been pleased to grant him the amount of his account sworn to, of the sum of £. 1745 15s 2d for which that Gentleman gave the House his hearty thanks, and assured he would communicate their generosity, by the first opportunity to his Majesty's ministers of state.
