New York-(ANP)-A sharp memory and astounding knowledge of the Bible last week won a Nigerian medical student, Adepoju Aderenmu, the $64,000 jackpot on the CBS television quiz show, "The $64,000 Question."
The son of a Nigerian tribal chieftain with rights to succession to the throne Aderonmu had reached the jackpot stage of the contest by correctly answering a series of complicated questions about the Bible. Last week he was asked to answer a detailed question concerning the family, childhood, ministry and death of Jesus Christ by quizmaster Hal March of the Revlon, Inc. sponsored CBS-TV show. He was to return to the program (his $64,000 earnings will not be at stake) Dec. 3 for the first of three questions leading to the double-$64,000 ($128,000) plateau and possible winnings up to $256,000.
A native of Oyo, Nigeria, Aderonmu, a medical student at the University of Chicago, plans to use the money to further his studies at the school. He said he also plans to return to his Nigeria some day and open a hospital.
