Emigrants. Up to the first of August, a fraction over 33,000 emigrants arrived at this port from Europe this season by this time. The number is increased to above 40,000!!! Rather more than this number have reached this season, Quebec and Montreal, many of whom find their way into the United States. If we add to the above the emigrants that have arrived at Baltimore and Philadelphia, and those which will yet arrive before the winter season, it will be found that not much less than 200,000 persons have been added to our population the present season.
