The Sound Money Democracy Arranging for Monday Meeting—A Number of Vice Presidents Named.

The National Democratic Association of Ohio county met last night in their club rooms and transacted some important business. Several committees were appointed and action taken relative to the great sound money meeting to be addressed by Congressman Bourke Cockran, of New York, at the Opera House next Monday evening. An escort of sound money business men was also arranged for and the Opera House band engaged. A petition seeking to have the National Democratic ticket inserted upon the Australian ballot, was numerously signed. If enough signatures are received this will surely be done.

The gold-standard Democrats will make a vigorous local campaign.

Messrs. J. B. Sommerville, Allan Brock and John S. Naylor were appointed a committee to secure speakers. For the Cockran meeting a reception committee was appointed as follows: Col. Robert White, F. L. Hoge and John S. Naylor. The list of vice presidents selected for the same meeting is as follows:

General Alfred Caldwell will preside over the meeting. Hon. John Byrne, president of the Democratic Honest Money League of America, is expected to be here with Bourke Cockran.

After this meeting the sound money Democrats will hold a series of meetings throughout the county, in which General Caldwell and Hon. J. B. Sommerville will speak. Hon. Newell Kennan, a prominent St. Clairsville lawyer, will be invited to speak in this county.
