MAKE FEED CHEAPER
Considerable rain fell in Wilmington and surrounding country during the past week. The biggest fall was between Saturday April 16, at noon, until Monday morning at 8 o'clock, when 2 1-2 inches of rain fell. From 8 o'clock a. m. on Monday an additional .07 of an inch fell. On Tuesday there was more rain and .04 of an inch was registered. From Wednesday night to Thursday morning the rain fall was .05 of an inch and on Thursday it registered .02 of an inch.
From that time until yesterday no rain fell. The rain yesterday came in fits and when it did fall it came down in torrents, which lasted only a few moments.
The fall was not considerable.
The rain of last week was hailed with delight by the farmers. It will also mean considerable to owners of horses. Hay will be cheaper as a result and other growing products will be equally affected in price.
