From the GLASGOW CHRONICLE, May 16.
HOUSE OF COMMONS.
Tuesday, May 12.—Lord Castlereagh brought down a message from the Prince Regent to the following effect:
"G. P. R.
The Prince Regent, deeply impressed with the severe loss which his Royal Highness and the country has sustained in the murder of the Rt. Hon. S. Perceval, and being anxious to express his sense of Mr. Perceval's public and private virtues, by affording relief and assistance to his afflicted family, recommends to the House of Commons, to enable His Royal Highness, in the name and behalf of his Majesty, to make such provision for his widow and family, as the justice and liberality of Parliament may deem fit."
May 13.—The House unanimously voted 50,000l. as a provision for the family of Mr. Perceval, and an annuity of 2000l. to his afflicted wife. Several members thought the provision inadequate for so numerous a family, and none expressed an opinion that it was too much.
