On Thursday last about 40 Gentlemen met at the Oxford Arms Tavern in Ludgate-street, to celebrate the Birth Day of the Ever-memorable Queen Elizabeth, after having heard an excellent Sermon preach'd at St. Marun's, Ludgate, by the Rev. Mr. Abbot, on the following Words, viz. And the Multitude of them that believed, were of one Heart and of one Soul. Acts iv. 32. This was pursuant to a Donation left by one Mr. Scivedale, formerly of that Parish, who appropriated a Sum of Money, Annually, for a Sermon and a Treat for the Inhabitants of that Parish, for ever, on that Day. The Entertainment was very elegant, and the whole conducted with the greatest Unanimity and Decency.
