Searcy Female Institute,
SEARCY, WHITE COUNTY, ARK.
THE TRUSTEES of this Institution have the pleasure of announcing that they have secured the services of Prof. I. I. COX, A. M., late of LaGrange, Ga., as Principal of the Institute. Prof. Cox has had large experience in teaching and in the management of institutions of learning of the highest order. He has, for the last several years, presided over the Southern Female College at LaGrange, Ga., one of the most flourishing Colleges in the South-he is a southern man by birth, education and sentiment. He comes to Searcy with a view of establishing a first class Institution for the education of young ladies, and brings with him the best of testimonials from the board of trustees of the college which he leaves, and from the citizens of the place.
The Institution will be furnished with suitable assistants and the proper facilities for every department of instruction.
Searcy is a high, dry, healthy locality, easily accessible by steamboats or stages.
Tuition per Term of Five Months. $12 50-$16-$25 according to class of studies.
Tuition in Music, $25-use of Piano, $5.
Board (including washing, lights and fuel) per month, $10.
Payment-one half in advance-balance at the close of the term. The session will consist of ten months, divided into two terms of equal length.
The spring term will open Tuesday, 12th of February.
