Gen. Thomas F. Drayton was taken suddenly and dangerously ill last night after supper. He was prostrated by the attack. At the hour of going to press, he was stronger than when first taken, but grave apprehensions are entertained of his recovery. Gen Drayton is eighty-three years old. He was a gallant Confederate officer, and is held in the highest esteem everywhere he is known. He was a class-mate of Jefferson Davis, and was a close friend of the Confederate President to the last.
