This is the way the Reno Gazette sighs over spilt milk:
Carson has called a meeting of her public spirited citizens to see if 100 shares of the Keeley cure stock can be taken at $50 a share. They seem anxious for the "drinkery" to be located in that city. Carson never was so happy as when she had a lot of howling drunks on the tapis spending money freely, and she sticks to the old saw: "Any port in a storm."
The Gazette hopes the "drinkery" may be located in Carson unless Reno gets in and bids for it. They can't best Western Bi-chloride company, however, for everyone that went through with the treatment comes out entirely cured of any desire for strong drink, and it is hard to beat 100 per cent.
