Full Text
The proposition by the proprietors of the Potomac Ferry at this place, for the erection of a Bridge, is highly worthy the attention of persons possessing a proper knowledge of the species of architecture applicable to the object. The site being on a public road much travelled, the ingenious mechanist who undertakes the erection of the bridge will have a fine opportunity of displaying to advantage the efforts of his skill. We have no doubt, therefore, that it will attract the notice of scientific and practical men, and we should be much pleased to see an exhibition of the best talents that can possibly be engaged in the work.
