Make Practically a Clean Sweep In the Municipal Election.
Special Dispatch to the INTELLIGENCER.
STEUBENVILLE, O., April 3.-This was a red letter day for Steubenville Republicans. Mayor Scott was re-elected by six hundred and twenty-nine majority.
They also elected Marshall Teaff by nearly a thousand; city solicitor, Dio Rogers; water works trustee, Charles Foreman; city commissioner, John Lawson, by nearly five hundred. The Republicans elect five out of six members of the council, and three out of six members of the board of education, also all township officers. Smith, the Republican candidate for township trustee, died Sunday night and the question as to how to fill the office is a puzzle.
