BETTER THAN BAD NEWS
EDITORS
We all want to help to
chronicle interests
little in 1930 by
sending us articles about inter-
esting people in your
communities. The best
recruits are largely the meek, thoughtful
prudent
folk who are quietly im-
plementing their way of life and whose thrift and
industry are in their neighbourhoods. Their
names seldom get into the Herald; it is
more than a newspaper; it is a weekly
more than a mere newspaper; it
values a new life boy named Brown rais-
ing 136 bu. per acre, more than it values
a news item in East Lake or a society
ball at the ...
I don't care a hoot about Susie
Golightly's costume at the masked ball: but we do feel a
thrill when some old-timer is piecing out a pasture or put-
ting clearer herbs in our corn bread.
Tell me about the folks who are doing things in your com-
munity. When possible send photos.
