MAYOR OF TRENTON IS THINKING OF RESIGNING

Special to the EVENING NEWS.

Trenton, July 14.—Mayor Frederick W. Donnelly admitted today that he is seriously considering tendering his resignation as head of the commission government here and severing his connections with the New Jersey ship canal commission of which he is president. The mayor gives as his reason for his course that his clothing business has suffered since his entrance into politics and that his salary as mayor is not sufficient to warrant his remaining in office. The mayor denied that he was planning to purchase the Evening True American, which is to be sold Wednesday at receivers sale.
