Republican Candidate for Governor Elected-Full Republican Congressional Delegation-A Republican Senator Secured.
Concord, Nov. 5.-One hundred towns give Nate Head (Rep.) 14,753, Frank A. McKean (Dem)12,037. Warren G.Brown(Greenback) 1957, scattering 46 The same places last March gave Benjamin F Prescott (Rep.)15,262. Frank H. McKean 14,536, scattering 135. The Republican net loss in these places is 53. From the returns received, it appears Head is elected by the people, and it is probable that Republican congressmen are elected in each of the three districts. The Republicans claim that they shall have at least 35 majority in the House.
1:30 a. m. The footings of 150 towns indicate the election of Head, Rep., as governor by the people by somewhere in the vicinity of 1000 majority. There are 266 towns and wards yet to be heard from. There is a falling off in the aggregate vote of the state from 1200 to 1500.
As far as returned the House stands 89 Republicans, 6 Democrats and 6 Greenbackers The congressional districts have not been returned sufficiently full to give definite majorities, but it is probable the Republicans have carried the three districts by strong pluralities. There has been little or no excitement in the city tonight over the result, more interest being manifested in the returns of other states than this. The places where the results were made public were closed early and the streets have been unusually quiet. Horace F. Brown, (Rep.) was elected mayor of this city today.
