In speaking of the distinguished poet and lecturer who will appear at Mason's opera house on the evening of March 28th the Boston Daily Globe says: Joaquin Miller attracted a large crowd to the Keith theater last night where he spoke on the Klondike. The audience of two thousand people listened to his word painting of "Our Arctic Empire." When he began by quoting from the Bible, "Have you seen the treasures of the snow?" there was silence, and he was applauded and brought back to the platform several after the close of his talk.
