Bears Win First in Northern Playoffs
Winnipeg, Man., Sept. 26.-(AP)- Eau Claire, faced with the necessity of winning all of the remaining games of the seven-game championship playoff in the Northern League, Saturday was still in the running as the result of an 11-5 win over Winnipeg last night.

It was the Bears' first victory in the four games of the series. They lambasted Johnny Miklos for 18 safeties, two of them home runs, while Ted Frank held the Maroons to four hits in the seven-inning contest.

The fifth game will be at Eau Claire Sunday.
