Our village had a big time on the 4th. Many thousand from the country and neighboring villages came in to share in the fun, thronging our streets from morning till night. The various amusements furnished by those having management gave vent to the gushing patriotism of both old and young, while ample provision was made to satisfy the wants of any kind of stomach.
