Full Text
The whole controversy on which the Deseret News has taken the negative, is the assertion, made by the anti-"Mormon" organ and its allies the sectarian preachers who have been scouring the States for pecuniary succor, that Utah is "filling up with plural wives who were not wives when Utah became a State." All the side issues opened up to divert attention from that proposition, and all the billingsgate poured out against us because we deny the charge, will not palliate the enormity of the falsehood that has been circulated diligently throughout the Union.
