Maj. JACOB WILHELM was recently arrested in Clearfield county by the military authorities and sent to Fort Mifflin. What he is charged with neither he nor anybody else seems to know. He was formerly a resident of this county and in 1864 was the Democratic candidate for County Commissioner. He was a hard working, honest farmer, and after removing to Clearfield county engaged in the lumbering business. We believe his patriotism to far exceed that of any Loyal Leaguer in the Nation. - Clinton Democrat.
