Full Text

The Cotton Belt railroad can now claim the honor of being the "seed potato" road, for every day there passes through here from eight to twenty car loads of Irish potatoes to points in Texas. Texas raises fine potatoes, and enough of them to furnish its own seed, only the farmers and truck gardeners have not learned to keep them through the winter. We think if we would provide cellars and store houses for this particular purpose, we would some day hit on a plan to store what we make like our northern friends.
