John J. Mogle Named Director Of Art Instruction In Buckingham

BUCKINGHAM, July 24 - John J. Mogle has been named art director of Buckingham county schools. He is a native of Rossiter, Penn. He received his BS degree from Edinboro State Teachers College, Edinboro, Penn. He received his Master of Education degree from Penn. State University, University Park, Penn. Mogle majored in art in his undergraduate study and in his post graduate study he has both a major and minor in art. He has several years' experience in teaching arts and crafts in high schools in Tenafly, N. J., and Cortland, N. Y.

Prior to his experience in these schools he taught in Liberty, N. Y., and Poughkeepsie, N. Y. He had three years of military service in the U. S. Army.

A member of the Eastern Arts Association he is also a member of Delta Phi Delta Arts fraternity. While attending college he consistently was on the dean's list. Mogle has had experience in television teaching and has also taught adult painting classes. He has traveled extensively in England, France, Belgium, Switzerland and Germany. He has also had extensive traveling in the United States.

According to the division superintendent of schools, Irving S. Driscoll, Buckingham is very fortunate in securing an art director with such outstanding preparation and successful experience to head up its art program.

Driscoll stated that Mogle comes to the Buckingham County School system with one of the highest recommendations of any teacher he has ever employed.
