WILL NAME A CHAIRMAN
Republican National Delegation to Meet Tonight.

A meeting of the delegates to the Republican national convention for the purpose of organization is called for the Copeland tonight. A chairman of the delegation will be elected and the roads over which the Kansas delegation will travel to Philadelphia, will be chosen.

The Kansans expect to return via Washington.

B. H. Tracy, who was in Ohio, a neighbor of McKinley, would not object to being made chairman of the delegation. He journeyed to Washington to congratulate McKinley personally upon his election.

Some of Tracy's friends suggest that he be made chairman of the Kansas delegation or that the place be given to J. R. Burton and permit Tracy to second the nomination of McKinley.

Mr. Burton's friends want him to be chairman, and also want him to make a speech nominating or seconding the nomination of McKinley. Mr. Tracy may not realize his ambition.

Tracy called the meeting of the delegates at the suggestion of M. A. Low.
