Oyster Bay, July 17.—Representative Hawley, of Texas, Charles Whitney, editor of Outing, and Regis H. Post, state senator from Bayport, N. Y., district, and Judge L. Weaver, were President Roosevelt's guests at lunch today.
The president and Mr. Hawley had an hour's consultation over Lone Star state political matters. Mr. Post discussed New York state affairs with the executive, and Judge Weaver, who is a member of the recently appointed Choctaw and Chickasaw Indian territory court, talked with him about the problems that will come before that tribunal.
During the early morning the president ground through a large grist of correspondence with Secretary Loeb.
