To be SOLD, by order of the King's Privy Council, and advice of the Ministerial Junto,
A ROYAL CROWN.
for the benefit, advantage and support of those miserable dependants, termed the loyal refugees, who, not having the love of their country at heart but instigated by the wily steward George the third, the true representative of his Satanic Majesty, did voluntarily enter his service, for which purpose they fled to the protection of an arbitrary power, to aid and support the design of his Majesty's ministerial myrmidons, mercenary cut throats, plunderers, sheep stealers, town burners, serpents, thieves and robbers, under the command of Generals Gage, Howe, and such other Generals as his Majesty has been pleased to appoint in succession for the gracious intention of subjugating these States to his obedience, command and pleasure.
And as his Majesty did vow, swear and promise, in presence of the mitred sensual house of corrupted quadrupeds, that he would sell his crown and all his estate in Hanover, to carry on the war, and support those his loyal subjects who were endeavoring to carry his measures into execution—and as he has most unfortunately failed in all his attempts, whereby he finds himself greatly reduced and under the disagreeable necessity of selling his Crown & Hanoverian patrimony, to lessen that part of the national debt which includes the pensionary supports of these hungry miscreants, who have no place for sanctuary than the wing of majesty, Or the allotted shores of Port-Roseway.
That the purchaser may not be deceived in his bargain, notice is now given, that there are missing thirteen brilliant stars, which formerly belonged to this crown, and fell from it about seven years ago, in a fruitless attempt to destroy the liberties of America, by which means he lost the confidence and affection of all his then subjects, another of its brightest gems. The purchaser will also take notice, that this crown will not suit any head, being a fool's cap; he would therefore do well to find a head it might fit. if good fortune can direct him to one that would choose to wear it, after the many spots and stains it has received from the excrementious exsudations of a very watery pocky pericranium, on which it has been placed for 23 years; but for want of a proper cultivation, has not been known to flourish, being choked with the weeds of disgrace, bribery and corruption.—The conditions of sale are, the highest bidder to be the owner, provided he lives within the limits of the kingdom of Little Britain, Scotland or Ireland, as in any other kingdom such a crown would not be worn. No American is allowed to bid: because, if carried to that part of the world, it would share the fate of the East-India Company's tea, as that faithful Triumvirate, Barnard, Hutchinson and Paxton, with the aid of military butchers, would not be there to save it.—Nothing but silver or gold will be taken in payment, as paper money has been greatly counterfeited at the royal mint, by advice and consent of King, Lords and Commons to frustrate and perplex the Americans in carrying on the war. Payment must be made in 24 hours, as the money is greatly wanted, to satisfy the craving demands of those hungry miscreants who have been long living on the royal bounty, and whom government are desirous of shaking off, as dead, cumbrous weight from their shoulders.—N. B. The place of sale to be at St. George's Fields, where the first tragedy of British tyranny was acted.
