McLean Asylum For The Insane. The Trustees of the Massachusetts General Hospital have voted to call that part of the establishment, in Charlestown, intended as an Asylum for the Insane, as the McLean Asylum, that in Boston to retain the name of the General Hospital. The whole amount of donations received by the Hospital from the State, has been $41,633 dollars & 33 cents. exclusive of the labor of hammering stone for the buildings: amount received from the Executors of the McLean is $95,871 dollars and 66 cents; and a further sum of $25,000 dollars will be received on the death of the widow.
