Praiseworthy.

The police officers of the tenth precinct (Seventh Ward) a few days since, learning that the "Ladies' Sanitary Aid Association" of that section of the city were in want of funds to carry out their objects, generously took up a collection among themselves, the result of which was quite a sum of money, and several blankets and other articles of use to the soldier, which were handed over to Mrs. Justice Stratton for the association. The society is in a highly prosperous condition, and quite a lot of comfortable clothing is made up for the soldiers every week by the members.
