In Linville Play

LINVILLE, July 19. - Aggie Morton defeated Griffith 2 and 1 and Mrs. J. D. Pittman, of Charlotte defeated Mrs. Frank Blackford of Birmingham 4 and 3 for the championship consolation at the Linville course here Friday.

Miss Morton and Bill Cocke, of Charlotte carded a low gross score of 73 in a mixed Scotch foursome Thursday. John Cocke, of Charlotte and Miss Dudley Brown of Nashville turned in a low net tie at 66 with Arthur Schieren of Bristol and Mrs. Jack Moffitt of Los Angeles.
