Event Details
The fifth Sunday was celebrated as Children's Day at Andrew Chapel, Orange Circuit. We used the programme gotten out by our publishing house. The day was bright and pleasant and the church well filled. The exercises began at 10.30 and continued until 1 o'clock. The children did their part well. We regretted very much our beloved pastor, Rev. L. S. Bellinger, could not be with us on this occasion, but Prof. W. E. Willis, of the Carlisle Fitting School, carried his part of the programme very creditably. After the exercises were over that large congregation was entertained by an excellent address from Prof. Willis. He delivered it in an impressive manner, and will be remembered with profit by many. The young people ought to love their Sunday school work, and these exercises are calculated to awaken a deeper interest and appreciation for the Sunday school and the cause of Christ.
