STREET CAR MEN ASK
PUBLIC COOPERATION
At the last several meetings of the union of bus drivers, the question of cooperation by the public with the men was discussed. It was brought out in these conversations that it has been rather difficult for the National City Lines, Inc., to operate in the Butte field owing mostly to the cessation of mining activities and the general decreases in pay-rolls.
The practice of motorists picking up pedestrians, while undoubtedly justified in many instances, really reacts detrimentally to the members of the Street Car Men's Union.
